However, if wired directly to the vehicle's battery, the dash cam remains powered, enabling continuous recording, even when the vehicle is parked and the ignition is switched off. This setup is particularly useful for enabling motion detection on your dash cam during non-driving periods, providing evidence in case of any incidents while parked.
To protect your vehicle's battery, the module automatically switches off the power supply to the dash cam when the vehicle's battery voltage drops to 11.6V (12V system) or 23.2V (24V system), helping to prevent excessive discharge. This ensures that your vehicle battery remains healthy, even after extended parking.
