Installation is made easy with a quick-connect PCB on the current shunt, and the package includes an RJ12 cable and battery cable with fuse. Additional accessories, such as a separate front bezel for various display appearances, a securing ring for rear mounting, and screws for front mounting, are also included.
The BMV-712 Smart features midpoint voltage monitoring, providing a timely warning in case of potential issues with series-connected batteries. For optimal service life of lead-acid batteries, it is recommended to use the Battery Balancer (BMS012201000).
With very low current draw from the battery, this monitor is especially suitable for Li-ion batteries, preventing damage after low voltage shutdown. The bi-stable alarm relay further enhances battery protection by preventing increased current draw in alarm conditions.
