In addition, the Storage mode reduces the float voltage when the battery is not being discharged for 24 hours, minimizing gassing and corrosion. Once a week, the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to refresh the battery, preventing stratification and sulphation, which can shorten battery life.
The temperature compensation feature ensures that the charging voltage is automatically adjusted as the battery temperature changes. This is particularly useful for sealed lead-acid batteries or in environments with significant temperature fluctuations.
With its voltage sense function, the charger compensates for any voltage drop that may occur due to cable resistance, ensuring the battery receives the correct charge voltage.
The Skylla-i 24/100(3) is also Li-Ion ready, making it compatible with LiFePO4 batteries. It offers simple on-off control by connecting a relay or an open collector optocoupler output from a Li-Ion BMS to the remote control port or full control via the CAN bus.
