What are IEC C13 Connectors?
An IEC C13 connector is sometimes referred to as a €™cold€™ connector. The C13 socket is a 3 wire two pole connector, neutral, earth and live. The C13 female connectors have a rated current of 10A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C. This series of connectors conform to a recognised set of specifications called IEC-60320. The regulations are laid down by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). This ensures they meet common global design standards.
