0.5mm 11A - Single Core Automotive High Temp Thinwall Cable Thin wall low voltage cable, suitable for use in automotive and marine applications. Consists of conductors of stranded copper wire which are hard grade PVC insulated. Compared to standard PVC cable, the reduced insulation thickness and higher current capacity greatly reduces weight and volume. For these reasons, this cable is today used in preference to standard PVC cable by vehicle manufacturers. Good resistance to petrol, diesel and abrasion. Suitable for use from -40ºC to +105ºC. Cable descriptions give number and size of cable strands and the total cross sectional area of the conductor. Where two colours are indicated (eg. Blue/Black), the first is the main colour and the second is the tracer colour. Most common cable sizes used in vehicles are 1, 2, 3 and 4mm². 1.5mm² & 2.5mm² are less commonly used.
