The Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS charger is designed to meet the demanding requirements of maritime safety and distress communication systems. It provides a 50A charging current for 24V battery systems and is equipped with all the necessary features for GMDSS applications.
The charger is equipped with a digital panel (VE.Net GMDSS panel) (sold separately) that displays critical data and alarms for both the battery and the GMDSS system. It allows easy monitoring, with a standard eight-wire UTP cable connecting the charger to the panel.
The Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS charger is designed for plug-and-play installation. No adjustments are necessary, as the system comes pre-programmed for GMDSS functionality, and settings can be easily modified via an intuitive menu. The system also features a built-in battery controller to monitor the capacity of the battery and provide crucial information, such as "time to go" during a power failure.
It can precisely charge VRLA or flooded battery systems, with adjustable charge voltage to ensure optimal performance and battery life. In addition, the charger includes a temperature sensor to adjust the charging voltage according to the temperature of the battery, helping to prevent overcharging.
With IP21 protection, the charger is protected from environmental conditions and is perfect for maritime installations where space and reliability are key.
